A small group of woman spent two days moving together, exploring the vastness of The Waldorf School Movement Education curriculum. We began with warming the space, our bodies, and our souls, in order to open and receive the work ahead. We learned to move rhythmically with the assistance of the curve of the circle, and the sphere. We traced our own movements back to childhood looking at the different songs, and movements we remembered that moved us as children, teens and young adults.

With the assistance of the ball, and hoop, we learned to move with the rhythm of levity, gravity & centrifugal forces. This lead us to some reading of the "Space is Human" by Paul Mathew's. Mr. Mathew's was a movement educator who sought to connect the ideas wit the forces of the natural world to healthy movements. A history of gymnastics was presented, tracing how the modern day apparatus became popular. We moved three planes of space through out the grades. We finished with giving gratitude on the banks of the American River.
